1980s-Inspired Music Video

Group Project Role: Cinematographer, Producer, & Editor

This project involved creating an 1980s-inspired music video that combined stylised visuals, a narrative-driven concept, and a colourful VHS aesthetic. Working collaboratively, I contributed to pre-production planning, production documentation, and post-production, bringing my editing skills and creative ideas to develop a cohesive final product.

The project strengthened my skills in video editing, visual storytelling, and creative collaboration. Although we faced challenges with early planning, storyboarding, and scheduling, we developed a final video that aligned with our audience’s preferences and the client’s requirements. This experience taught me the importance of detailed preparation, clear communication, and establishing a strong creative direction from the beginning.
