국민대학교 융합바이오공학과 J.P. LAB 은 바이오메디컬공학 기반의 플랫폼기술을 개발하여 질병을 단일세포, 단일세포소기관, 단일분자 수준에서 정밀하게 이해하고, 이를 바탕으로 개인 맞춤형 정밀의학 구현을 목표로 합니다. 미세유체/바이오센싱 기술을 중심으로 인체 내 다양한 생체 구성요소 (세포, 엑소좀, 미생물, 단백질, DNA/RNA) 를 단일분자 해상도로 정밀분석하며 세포 내외 구성요소 간의 계층적 이질성을 연구합니다. 이를 통해 난치성 및 감염성 질환의 예측과 조기진단, 치료 전략 개발을 가능케 하는 고차원 임상중개 연구 플랫폼을 구축하고, 데이터의 디지털화 및 라이브러리화를 통한 차세대 디지털 헬스케어 시스템 구현에 기여하고자 합니다.

J.P. LAB aims to develop biomedical engineering-based platform technologies that enable a precise understanding of diseases at the level of single cells, subcellular organelles, and single molecules, ultimately advancing personalized precision medicine. Leveraging microfluidics and biosensing technologies, we perform high-resolution molecular analyses of various biological components within the human body—including cells, extracellular vesicles, microbes, proteins, and DNA/RNA—and investigate the hierarchical heterogeneity among intra- and extracellular components. Through this approach, we seek to establish an advanced translational research platform that facilitates early diagnosis, disease prediction, and therapeutic strategy development for neurodegenerative and infectious diseases. Furthermore, by digitizing and building a library of biological data, we aim to contribute to the realization of next-generation digital healthcare systems.
