J.D. Strunk was born in Boston, Massachusetts, grew up in Ontario, Ohio, and has a degree in English literature from the University of Toledo. His fiction has appeared in The Saturday Evening Post, The Louisville Review, Vestal Review, The Coachella Review, Palooka Magazine, Soundings East, MoonPark Review, Pithead Chapel, Summerset Review, Fictive Dream, Cumberland River Review, Fiction on the Web, and elsewhere. His work has been nominated for Best of the Net, Best Small Fictions, and Best American Short Stories, and he was a finalist for The Bellingham Review’s Tobias Wolff Award for Fiction.
