Izzy Willsey, originally from Fort Smith, is a student filmmaker, actor, and photographer at the University of Central Arkansas, pursuing a major in Film and a minor in Theatre. She has a strong passion for the camera department as a foundation for long-term work in cinematography and loves exploring visual storytelling through texture, movement, and framing.

While Izzy did not have the opportunity to gain experience in film or theatre before college, her passion for storytelling and the performing arts has been a constant throughout their life. However, since attending UCA, she has worked on a plethora of student films and productions held by the theatre department. They prefer learning through hands-on collaboration and production work in creative environments. Her goal is to build a career that allows them to tell meaningful stories, whether through cinematography, acting, or directing. 

Izzy is especially inspired by emotionally-driven stories, visually bold aesthetics, and narratives that explore identity, nostalgia, and human connection. She values collaboration and is always excited to learn from others, whether behind the camera, in front of the camera, backstage, or in the editing suite.
