Dr. Izzuddin is a senior lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). He received his B.Eng. in Electrical-Electronics, M.Eng. in Electrical (Mechatronics & Automation Control), and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
His research expertise lies in control systems, mechatronics, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), multi-agent systems, and artificial intelligence (AI). He has authored and co-authored works on quadrotor formation control, autonomous person-following telepresence robots using YOLO, UAV-based power line inspection, and robotic object detection systems.
Currently, he is engaged in advancing cyber-physical systems by integrating AI-driven methods with autonomous platforms for real-world applications, particularly in electric vehicles, UAV navigation, and intelligent robotic systems. He also serves as a coordinator for academic quality initiatives, ensuring strong alignment between engineering education and industry demands.
