About Us

Alex and Sarah (Bodnar) Izzi both grew up in Ashtabula, OH.  In 2018, they were married and are currently raising their daughter Rosalia (age 6) in their hometown.  They share a love for bocce and started the tournament as a way to bring people in their community together and raise money for cancer causes.  In 2016, Alex lost his mother (LuAnn Izzi) to cancer, and in 2018, Sarah's mother (Antoinette Bodnar) was also diagnosed with cancer, and is now in remission.  They hope their efforts will help support those who have been affected by cancer.
