Batu Road galle-seum
Narrative architecture as a storytelling tool
BATU ROAD galle-seum is an interpretation of an architecture that narrates. Digging back into the 'alternative' history of Jalan TAR, the story of how tin mining affects the Kuala Lumpur city center were trasnlated into the architecture of the galle-seum. Telling a story through its different architectural elements that helps create a variety of immersive experience. Here, the visitor could experience the atmosphere of the tin mining era back in the days with its interative exihibiton space and gallery. The galle-seum also acts as the public domain to cater the pedestrian from Jalan TAR while at the same time embracing the history of the site for the visitors.
