A thought-provoking seminar on Krishna Consciousness was recently organized under the banner of the *Youth Forum*, attracting enthusiastic participation from students and young professionals. The event aimed to promote spiritual awareness, moral values, and inner peace among the youth through the timeless teachings of Lord Krishna.
The session began with a soulful rendition of Hare Krishna kirtan, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere. The keynote speaker, “HIS HOLINESS BHAKTISARA GOVINDANANDA SWAMI MAHARAJ” a representative from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), shared valuable insights from the Bhagavad Gita, emphasizing how ancient wisdom can guide modern life. He explained that Krishna Consciousness is not merely a religious practice but a holistic way of living — focusing on self-realization, compassion, discipline, and service to humanity.
Through interactive discussions and storytelling, the speaker highlighted the importance of balancing material success with spiritual growth. Participants were encouraged to reflect on their daily habits, mindset, and goals, learning how devotion and mindfulness can lead to a more purposeful and fulfilling life.
The seminar also included a Q&A session, where students asked questions about handling stress, maintaining relationships, and finding inner peace in today’s fast-paced world. The responses provided practical techniques drawn from the Gita’s teachings, such as meditation, chanting, and gratitude.
The event concluded with a collective chanting session and a vegetarian prasadam meal, which fostered a sense of unity and joy among all attendees. Many participants expressed their appreciation for the enlightening experience and pledged to incorporate the principles of Krishna Consciousness in their daily lives. In evening everyone Celebrating Dāmodarāṣṭakam (also known as Kārtika Dāmodara month celebration) is a deeply devotional and joyous way to honor Lord Krishna as Dāmodara—the Lord who was bound by the love of Mother Yaśodā. This takes place especially during the sacred month of Kārtika (usually October–November).
