The Venue

The Maltese Islands in the Mediterranean comprise three main islands: Malta, Gozo, and Comino. Malta serves as the cultural and economic centre, Gozo offering a quieter rural character, and Comino is known for the Blue Lagoon. With over 7,000 years of history, Malta is home to some of the world’s oldest free-standing structures, including its Megalithic temples, and has been shaped by successive civilisations such as the Phoenicians, Romans, the Knights of St. John, and the British. Today, Malta is a vibrant European nation where this rich historical legacy meets a dynamic modern culture.

Located in the heart of Malta’s capital, the University of Malta Valletta Campus is housed within a beautifully restored historic building that blends centuries-old architecture with modern facilities. Just steps away from key cultural landmarks, it provides a unique setting for academic events in a vibrant and easily accessible urban environment.

Malta is easily accessible by plane via Malta International Airport (MLA), with regular connections to major European cities

Valletta can be reached by ferry from Sliema or the Three Cities (Birgu). For other travel, Malta has an extensive bus network, along with taxis and rideshare services.

For easy access to the conference venue and main transport links, it is recommended to stay in Valletta, Gżira, or Sliema.
