Since 1993, the scientific community devoted to the study of the authors and texts of medieval Hispanic Latinity has met periodically to discuss ideas and results. The first three congresses were held in León, organised by Maurilio Pérez González; the following ones were held in Lisbon, Barcelona, Alicante, Salamanca and Valladolid. These meetings have been a privileged space for discussion of the most recent results of the study of the texts and culture of Visigothic and Medieval Hispania in its various aspects, and its role as a recipient of late-antique tradition. Twenty years after the fourth edition, which took place in Lisbon, the Centre for Classical Studies of the University of Lisbon is once again organising this event, a place of exchange of findings and experiences.
Papers can be submitted, with a maximum duration of 20 minutes, on the following topics:
1. Hispanic authors and works written in the Iberian Peninsula (6th-14th centuries).
2. Related fields of knowledge (lexicography, epigraphy, palaeography, codicology, medieval documentation) in the same geographical space and chronological scope.
3. Circulation and reception of classical and late antique texts in Hispania (6th-14th centuries).
4. Circulation and reception of Hispanic texts and manuscripts in the same geographical and chronological scope.
