Location: Lake Merritt, Oakland, CA / Huchiun, unceded Ohlone land
Starting point: The Pergola - 599 El Embarcadero Oakland, CA
End point: Lake Merritt Amphitheater - Lake Merritt Blvd, Between 12th Street and 1st Ave
The march will be roughly 1 mile on mostly flat terrain
Airborne Illness Protocols: Mask up for community care and to resist surveillance! N95 masks will be available and are highly encouraged. We also encourage folks to take a COVID and/or flu test before attending the event. If you feel sick or are exhibiting any symptoms, please stay home.
Interpretation: This is a bilingual Spanish/English event with interpretation.

Lake Merritt BART Station is:
1.4 miles from the starting point at The Pergola. From Lake Merritt Station, you can take AC Transit to The Pergola. (Travel 0.2 mi. to the 22's stop at 11th and Jackson Street. Take the 22 to Lakeshore Ave & Boden Way. Travel 0.1 mi. to The Pergola)
0.4 miles from the ending point at Lake Merritt Amphitheater.
AC Transit Line 12, Grand Ave and El Embarcadero stop is 400 feet from The Pergola.
Access Support: Volunteers will be available to assist with access needs.
Seating: There will be approximately 15 chairs available at the beginning of the march for individuals who need seating for the beginning of the program. There is seating available at the amphitheater at the end of the march as well.
Safety and Wellness: A safety and medic team will be present. Please ask a security volunteer for assistance.
Restrooms: There are all-gender public restrooms at the Lake Merritt BART station. There are also public gender-segregated restrooms available near the starting and ending points at the Pergola and Amphitheater.
Children: This is a family-friendly event, with a facilitated children's space for all ages with art and toys. There will be no drop-off childcare service. Parents or guardians must accompany children under the age of 10.
