1. Weather at IIT Kanpur
Kanpur is quite cold these days, with daytime temperatures around 25°C and nighttime temperatures dropping to about 10°C. You are advised to carry sufficient warm clothing.
2. Reusable Water Bottles
Please bring your own reusable water bottles to stay hydrated during the day. We may not be able to provide disposable water bottles.
3. TA Reimbursement (for eligible participants)
Please note that no cash reimbursement will be provided. All TA reimbursements will be made through bank transfer.
You are required to submit:
Printed copies of your to-and-fro travel tickets, and
A filled TA form (shared through email), which includes your bank account details.
You may print and fill the form before arriving. Alternatively, please review the form in advance to ensure you have all the required information; we will also provide printed copies at the venue.
4. Accommodation (for eligible participants)
Accommodation and meals for eligible participants are arranged at Hall 4.

5. Meals for All Participants
Lunch for all participants without on campus accommodation is arranged at the Hall-4 Mess.
6. Venue for All Lectures
All lectures will be held in Lecture Hall L4, located in the Lecture Hall Complex within the academic area of IIT Kanpur.

7. For candidates provided accommodation: please note that it will be a shared accommodation and it will only be available from 5pm of 11th December, 2025 to 3.30 pm of 13th December 2025. We may not be able to extend it. Therefore you are requested to plan your travel accordingly.
8. Those who have asked for travel support must book their train tickets through IRCTC portal. If you wish to travel by bus, then the journey should be through State run government buses.
9. Following are the guidelines for the reimbursement of travel fare:
For M.Sc students: Train fare up to sleeper class,
For Ph.D, postdoctoral fellow and Assistant Professor: Train fare up to Third AC class,
For Associate Professor and up: Train fare up to Second AC class.
We will not be able to arrange or reimburse the local travel from Kanpur station to IIT Kanpur.

Kanpur Metro now connects Kanpur Central station to IIT Kanpur directly. You can take the Metro from the last platform, and IIT Kanpur is the last stop.
The IIT Kanpur main gate is a 2-5 minute walk from the Metro Station.
11. Physical registration for the workshop at IIT Kanpur will start at 9.00 am on 12/12/2025. At the time of physical registration at IIT Kanpur, you will be required to submit the following:
(i) A copy of your Institute ID (in case of student) or Employee ID (in case of faculty)
(ii) A copy of the Aadhar card (if you will avail an accommodation)
12. Attending the entire programme is mandatory. We shall not entertain students who join later, or leave early.
