Thank you for the overwhelming response to the Indian Women and Mathematics (IWM) Annual Conference 2026–27.
Registration for the conference is now closed.
The conference received a large number of applications across a wide range of research areas and career stages. The participants were selected based on the information provided in the registration form and the allocation of oral and poster presentations was made after careful consideration of:
The scientific content and relevance of the submissions,
The limited number of presentation slots available,
The need to maintain a balanced programme across different research areas,
The goal of ensuring representation from participants at different career stages and institutions,
The desire to provide opportunities to as many members of the community as possible.
As a result, many strong applications could not be accommodated in the final programme. The allocation of oral and poster presentations should not be viewed as a reflection of the overall quality or merit of an individual's work.
In order to broaden participation and provide presentation opportunities to a larger section of the community, preference for oral presentations was given to researchers who have not recently presented their work at IWM meetings. Consequently, some applicants who had previously presented at earlier IWM events were not allocated oral presentation slots this year but were instead offered the opportunity to present posters.
We strongly encourage all participants who have been selected for poster presentations to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase their work. Poster sessions are an important component of the conference and provide an excellent forum for scientific discussion, networking, and interaction with researchers from diverse areas of mathematics. Many fruitful collaborations and exchanges of ideas begin through these informal discussions, and we hope participants will make full use of this platform to engage with the broader mathematical community.
The conference programme has now been finalized, and we are unable to offer additional oral presentation slots or accept new registrations.

Given the large volume of submissions received, we regret that we are unable to provide individual feedback on applications or detailed reasons for selection decisions. We appreciate the time and effort invested by all applicants and encourage those who were not selected on this occasion to apply for future IWM events.
We thank all applicants for their interest in the conference and for their understanding. We look forward to welcoming participants to IWM 2026–27 and to engaging with many more members of the community through future IWM programmes and activities.
