IWINTV is a major contributor and fundraisers for Julietta Jean's Recovery Living Center that provides affordable housing to single women who are ready to recover from drugs, alcohol, domestic violence, sexual abuse, trauma, unemployment and homelessness.

Julietta Jean’’s RECOVERY LIVING CENTER for Women, dba “JJ’s House” is a safe affordable living facility providing a beacon of healing, happiness, hope, productivity and success for women who desire to recover from drug and alcohol addiction, domestic violence, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, trauma, homelessness and unemployment. It is funded through public and private donations.

Julietta Jean's provides safe living to women who have a desire to recover from

addiction of prescription drug abuse
illicit drug abuse
alcohol abuse
domestic violence and abuse
trauma of homelessness
sexual abuse and exploitation
trauma
unemployment

JJ's House will have various educational programs in place to foster productive life and career skills such as but not limited to:

Computer classes
Job training
Education on business dress attire
Resume building with job interview training
Classes on personal and business etiquette
Access to continued education and GED completion
Classes on sexual harassment

Education in the culinary arts and healthy and affordable meal preparation
Education in clean and germ free living and personal hygiene
Anger Management courses
Parenting Courses
Financial Education and Financial Management Courses
Investment Education and Investment Management Courses
Legal help with sealing and expunging felony records

Crotchet, Knitting, Gardening and Sewing Courses
Classes on basic automobile maintenance and repair
Credit repair counseling and credit building Courses
Relapse Prevention Courses
12 step Program Meetings, Sponsors and Activities

These programs and classes will equip the residents with the tools necessary to participate in the onsite Financial Affiliate Programs” such as “Amazon Smiles”, “Disney Plus Customer Service”, as well as being Independent Contracted Fundraisers for IWINTV.

Income generated pays for the cost of rent of $800.00 which includes food , toiletries, cleaning supplies, clothing expenses, WiFi, cable, electricity, air conditioning, heating, in house laundry facility, and travel expenses.

Our “Success Supervisors” “Life Counselors” and “Milestone Managers”, will help mentor each woman to create a reasonable and attainable goal setting and success plan of action.

This will include her taking responsibility for

Making arrangements with outside community resources for continued treatment
Managing her family health care
Participating in 12 step fellowship programs

Acquiring continued Training from outside resources
Accessing educational and continual education from outside educational institutions,
Securing outside employment

Maintaining healthy and productive living habits
Maintaining healthy and productive financial habits
Saving income for a house or apartment when program completion certificate is earned
Saving income for personal vehicle purchase when program completion is earned.

JJ's House is being established in direct response to a huge need. Authorities are recognizing that women, who suffer from addictions, homelessness and unemployment have limited options. They seldom have a job.

They often have very limited job skills or schooling. In some cases they need to “jump through a lot of hoops” in order to have a chance at reuniting with their children, finding affordable housing and stable employment.

They are often required to continue treatment, find a job, find housing, and be able to care for their young children.

This would be daunting for any woman let alone women who are also struggling with staying sober and in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, the trauma of homelessness and the despair of unemployment as a direct result of the COVID 19 Pandemic.

Authorities working in the substance abuse field recognize that it is almost impossible to find enough housing, meaning any kind of affordable place to live. That does not even address the safety risk of the women returning to old friends and re-creating drug-using environments.

The typical sheltered homeless family is comprised of a mother in her late twenties with two children.

84% of families experiencing homelessness are female-headed. This is due to a number of factors:

- Most single-parent families are female-headed (71%). Single-parent families are among the poorest in the nation and as such, are extremely vulnerable to homelessness
- Many family shelters do not accept men into their programs, causing families to separate when they become homeless

Families of color are overrepresented in the homeless population. Nationally:

- 43% are African-American
- 15% are Hispanic
- 38% are White, non Hispanic
- 3% are Native American

Your charitable contribution will allow us to assist women who have been impacted by the devastating COVID 19 Pandemic by giving them the opportunity of employment and affordable housing during this difficult these difficult times.
