We celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8 to honor the achievements of women worldwide and to continue advocating for gender equality in all aspects of life, including technology and innovation. 

For Women Techmakers, this celebration extends from March to April, allowing more time to highlight stories, host events, and create meaningful conversations that push for greater gender inclusivity in the workplace. By expanding the celebration, we ensure that the movement goes beyond a single day—empowering more women to step into tech, leadership, and innovation.

Google's Women Techmakers program is a global initiative dedicated to empowering women in technology. It focuses on building a supportive community and providing resources and visibility to women at all stages of their tech careers, from students to seasoned professionals. The program offers networking opportunities, mentorship, and various events and workshops designed to help women succeed and thrive in the tech industry.
