The XIV International Workshop on Computational Economics and Econometrics (IWcee26) aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, data scientists, economists, geographers, statisticians, computer scientists, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss the latest advances in computational methods for the analysis of georeferenced data.
The unprecedented availability of satellite imagery, remote sensing data, GPS traces, mobile phone records, IoT sensors, social media, administrative databases, and Earth Observation platforms has transformed the way we understand economic, environmental and social phenomena.
Spatial information is no longer simply an additional dimension of data; it has become one of the key drivers for understanding complex systems, forecasting future scenarios, and supporting evidence-based policy making.
IWcee26 provides an interdisciplinary forum to discuss novel computational methodologies capable of extracting meaningful knowledge from spatially referenced data, combining advances in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Spatial Econometrics, Spatial-simulation models, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Network Science, and Computational Statistics.
IWcee26 aims to:
· promote innovative computational methods for geospatial data analysis;
· foster collaboration between social scientists, computer scientists, statisticians, geographers and policy researchers;
· encourage methodological developments in spatial machine learning and spatial econometrics;
· discuss new paradigms for integrating heterogeneous spatial data sources;
· explore real-world applications supporting sustainable, resilient and inclusive societies;
· promote reproducible and open computational research for spatial data science.

SPECIAL SESSIONS AND SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Special Session Proposals
Researchers interested in organizing special sessions are invited to submit proposals on emerging topics related to computational spatial and network analysis, geospatial artificial intelligence, simulation models, territorial economics, environmental modelling, and related disciplines.
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract (maximum 8,000 characters, excluding figures, tables and references) describing original research. Submissions should clearly present:
· research objectives;
· methodology;
· data sources;
· expected results.
All submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee.
