Directions and Local Information

The conference will take place at TU Wien, Freihaus, Wiedner Hauptstraße 8–10, 1040 Vienna. The Freihaus building consists of three interconnected towers—Red, Yellow, and Green—named after the color of their interior walls.

•   Registration and Talks

Lecture Hall FH HS 4 (Freihaus Hörsaal 4). Yellow Tower, 2nd Floor.

Enter the building through the main entrance at Wiedner Hauptstraße 8–10. You will arrive in the Red Tower. Walk straight ahead and then turn left to reach the Yellow Tower. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor (2. Stock).

After exiting the elevator, turn left and immediately enter the lecture hall area through the glass door. In front of you, you will see three lecture halls: FH HS 4, FH HS 3, and FH HS 2. FH HS 4 is the leftmost lecture hall.

•   Welcome Reception and Coffee Breaks

Seminar Room Sem.R. DA Grün 03A. Green Tower, 3rd Floor.

The seminar room is located in the Green Tower on the 3rd floor. Take the elevator in the Green Tower to the 3rd floor; the seminar room is directly opposite the elevator.

The Welcome Reception will be held in this room on Tuesday, September 1, at 7:00 p.m. Coffee and snacks will also be served here.

•     Restaurants and Cafes close to the conference site
A great place to eat is “Naschmarkt”, a traditional food market with a variety of restaurants. My favorite Asian place is Li’s Cooking (https://www.liscooking.at/de/speisen.html), but there are more. You can see TU Freihaus in the right upper corner of the map. The market is one block away.

There are other restaurants on Karlsplatz, Cafe Resselpark, Cafe Museum, a bit further away, Cafe Tirolerhof, Cafe Mozart, Cafe Schwarzenberg… The nice thing about restaurants and cafes in Vienna is that you will hardly find a bad one :-)
