With this curriculum your child will learn the tools for acting which is similar to children acting schools all over the world. Your child would most likely leave this camp a professional child actor but most importantly they’d have a lot of fun learning something different and new.
Monday
Getting to know me- Children introduce themselves and tell as much as they can about themselves to the class. This is a good way to break the ice and get everyone comfortable.
Introduction to Acting – Children learn what acting is, the rules of acting and who an actor is.
Impromptu monologue – The children are put to a fun test by performing an improvisational monologue.
Instructors give out monologues for the week.
Tuesday
Elocution – Children practice how to speak clearly with the correct tone and pronunciation.
Speech sounds- Children practice speech sounds to help them improve their pronunciation and speech.
Public speaking- Children practice how to speak confidently in front of a crowd.
Impromptu Speech- Children are put to an exciting public speaking test by speaking in front of the class using all the tools of Public Speaking.

Instructors give out Speeches for end of week presentations.

Dance/movement
Acting with movement – Children practice acting with their bodies through pantomime.

Sketch Day- Children film a fun educational skit for Ivy Theatre School Youtube Channel
Class presentation- Children perform speech in front of the class.
Outdoor Playtime
Monday
Emotions – Children learn how to access their emotions for acting just like professional actors do.
Storytelling – Children learn to tell a consistent story through performance.
Children are given Voice Over performance script for the week.
Tuesday
Voice training – Children learn to unlock their voices by practicing to speak out loud and clear.
Elocution- children practice pronunciation and speech delivery.
Speech sounds.
Wednesday
Voice acting exercises – Children practice using their voice to play different characters.
Acting for stage – Children learn the tools for acting in front of an audience.
Thursday
Swimming day.
Voice acting exercises- Children practice voice acting by imitating different characters.
Delivery and emotions- Children learn how to deliver a performance with the right emotional energy.
Friday
Voice over recordings – Children put what they learned into practice by recording a voice over session for an animation.

The goal of our acting summer camp is for the child to learn some tools for acting professionally. At the end of the acting summer camp, we want to see a marked improvement in each child's confidence, public speaking skills and acting skills.
