If you want a versatile USB-C cable that lets you charge your phone and listen to wired headphones simultaneously, choose IVSHOWCO USB C; if you need a rugged, portable power station specifically for your Shokz bone conduction headphones, choose FEFAIA Charging Case Compatible.
• IVSHOWCO USB C: The standout strength is its dual-functionality as a 60W fast charger and an audio adapter for devices lacking a headphone jack, but the trade-off is that it is strictly a cable solution with no battery storage of its own. This pick is best for travelers who need to plug into car chargers or power banks while using standard aux headphones on newer phones like the iPhone 15 series.
• FEFAIA Charging Case Compatible: Its biggest advantage is the built-in 2000mAh battery that can recharge compatible Shokz headphones up to ten times, offering true portability away from wall outlets, yet it is completely locked to specific Shokz models and cannot charge other devices. This pick is ideal for outdoor athletes and runners who rely on their bone conduction gear all day and need a backup power source in their pocket.
This product solves a very specific frustration that has become common since manufacturers removed the traditional audio port from smartphones. If you own an iPhone 15 Pro Max, a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, or any modern Android device with only a USB-C port, you often find yourself stuck when trying to use your favorite wired headphones. This cable bridges that gap by allowing you to connect a 3.5mm audio device directly while simultaneously charging your phone.
The engineering here focuses on durability and speed. The outer material is a nylon braid, which is not just about looking good but about preventing the tangles and knots that plague standard cables. Inside, the gold-plated 3.5mm connectors are designed to reduce signal loss and noise, ensuring that your music sounds clear even when the cable is stretched out. The charging capability supports PD60W fast charging, meaning you can get power back into your device quickly, provided you pair it with a compatible USB-C power adapter or car charger.
You should buy this if you frequently travel, commute, or work in environments where you need to keep your phone powered while listening to podcasts or music through wired headphones. It is particularly useful for drivers who want to connect older car stereos or high-quality aux headphones without needing a separate dongle. However, if you primarily use wireless earbuds or do not care about having a physical connection for audio, this cable adds unnecessary bulk to your carry-on bag.
Conversely, skip this product if you are looking for a standalone charging case or a battery pack that sits outside your phone. This is purely an interface tool. It does not store energy itself; it simply passes electricity from a source to your device while splitting the connection to allow audio output. It requires a power source to function, so it won't help you charge your phone in the middle of nowhere unless you have a power bank handy.

The landscape of running and outdoor sports headphones has shifted dramatically toward bone conduction technology, with Shokz being the dominant player. While these headphones offer excellent situational awareness, their battery life can sometimes be insufficient for ultra-long training sessions or multi-day camping trips. This charging case addresses that limitation head-on by acting as a mobile power bank dedicated solely to your headset.
Unlike generic cases, this unit features a built-in 2000mAh high-capacity battery. This is a significant specification because it translates to roughly ten full charges for compatible headphones. The magnetic charging station inside ensures a secure connection, eliminating the fumbling with tiny pins that often happens with standard charging cables. The case itself is constructed from double-strand oxford fabric and a hard EVA shell, providing robust protection against drops, bumps, and splashes. This makes it suitable for the rigors of outdoor exercise where gear might get knocked around in a gym bag or tossed into a backpack.
I recommend this for serious runners, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts who wear Shokz OpenSwim Pro, Aeropex, or OpenRun models. The mesh pocket inside allows you to store the included USB-C adapter and extra cables, keeping everything organized. The reinforced hand strap makes it easy to slip into a pocket or attach to a belt loop, ensuring you never lose your power source during a run. It is a specialized tool designed for one specific ecosystem of headphones.
However, you must be extremely careful about compatibility before purchasing. This case is explicitly NOT compatible with the newer Shokz Open Swim Pro2, OpenRun Pro 2, Openfit Pro, or OpenComm 2 UC models. If you upgrade your headphones to these newer versions, this case will not work. Furthermore, it is not a universal charger. You cannot use it to charge your phone, tablet, or other electronics. It is a single-purpose device, and if you are looking for a general-purpose charging solution, this will feel limiting rather than helpful.
• Best for battery life (on the go) → FEFAIA Charging Case Compatible, thanks to its 2000mAh internal battery that recharges headphones multiple times without a wall outlet.
• Best for wired audio compatibility → IVSHOWCO USB C, as it uniquely allows 3.5mm headphones to work with modern USB-C phones while charging.
• Best for durability and travel → FEFAIA Charging Case Compatible, due to its hard EVA shell and oxford fabric construction designed to protect against impacts.
• Best value for daily commuting → IVSHOWCO USB C, since it replaces two separate accessories (a charger and an audio adapter) into one lightweight cord.
• Best for outdoor runners → FEFAIA Charging Case Compatible, specifically for those who need extended battery life for long-distance runs with Shokz gear.
• Best for versatility across devices → IVSHOWCO USB C, as it works with iPhones, iPads, Samsungs, Pixels, MacBooks, and more, whereas the other is limited to specific Shokz models.
• Best for safety features → Both offer protection, but FEFAIA includes intelligent chipsets to prevent overheating and overcurrent, while IVSHOWCO relies on gold plating for signal integrity.
• Best for simplicity → FEFAIA Charging Case Compatible offers a "plug and play" experience for your headphones, whereas IVSHOWCO requires managing a longer cable setup.
In my opinion, the choice between these two depends entirely on whether you are prioritizing audio connectivity or extended battery life for your workout gear. If your primary goal is to use wired headphones for calls while driving or working on a laptop, the IVSHOWCO USB C is the indispensable tool you need to make that happen without buying expensive dongles. However, if you are a dedicated runner who relies on bone conduction headphones for safety and comfort, the FEFAIA Charging Case Compatible is the superior investment because it solves the real-world problem of dead batteries in the field. For me, if I were setting up a kit specifically for sleep headphones for calls or best bluetooth headphones for calls during a run, I would grab the FEFAIA case first to ensure I never miss a beat, but I would always keep the IVSHOWCO cable in my bag for when I need to plug in and listen to something different.
No, this charging case is designed exclusively for Shokz models like the OpenSwim Pro, Aeropex, and OpenRun series. It uses specific magnetic contacts that will not fit or charge other brands of headphones.
It supports PD60W fast charging, but the actual speed depends on your power adapter. If you use a 20W adapter, the cable will only charge at 20W speeds, as the cable itself does not generate power but passes it through.
Despite the 2000mAh battery and protective hard shell, it remains compact and portable. It features a soft reinforced hand strap and fits easily into pockets or small bags, making it convenient for daily office use or travel.
The cable uses double-shielded construction and 24K gold-plated connectors to minimize electromagnetic interference and signal loss, ensuring that your audio experience remains clear and noise-free during transmission.
