We are Ryan Paxton and Jackie Gleisner, the Ives Squared Creatives in Residence from January through June 2019. We designed this website to store information and resources related to our programming at Ives Squared.
About Ryan & Jackie
Jacquelyn ("Jackie") Gleisner is an artist, writer, and educator. She holds an MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BFA with honors from Boston University. Her work as a visual artist has been exhibited throughout the United States and internationally in Italy, Finland, and Botswana. In 2010, Jacquelyn was awarded a Fulbright grant to Finland. In October 2015, she traveled to Botswana through an artist exchange as part of the Art in Embassies Program. Jacquelyn has been an active freelance arts writer and blogger since 2011 and recently started a blog called Connecticut Art Review. She currently works at the University of New Haven as a Practitioner in Residence.
Ryan Paxton holds a BFA from the University of Oregon, Eugene. As an artist, Ryan has exhibited his work at the Cue Foundation in New York, Fireproof Gallery, Brooklyn, and the Washington Art Association in Connecticut. In 2017, Ryan founded LensCloud, a 3D scanning business based in Brooklyn, New York. He is skilled in digital/ new media, woodworking, metalworking and ceramics. Ryan currently works as the Production Shop Manager at the Eli Whitney Workshop in Hamden where he designs and creates toys and educational projects for children and leads adult workshops on CNC design and fabrication.
We keep office hours, usually twice a week at the following times:
Mondays, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Saturdays, 12:00-2:00 p.m.
