EU Merger Economics for ChatGPT
EU Merger Economics is a specialized research assistant for the economics of EU merger control.
To use it, simply describe a real, hypothetical or anonymized merger in your own words; one paragraph is enough. Include whatever you know about the products, competitive relationship, market structure, entry, capacity, vertical links or claimed efficiencies.
The GPT automatically returns an economic diagnosis, three to six ranked Commission precedents, a synthesis of the techniques used in those cases, relevant recent research and a recommended analytical toolkit. For each precedent, it explains the economic analogy and important differences, distinguishes Commission findings from party arguments and remedy evidence, and provides the case number, physical PDF pages and Commission source. Unlike the general ChatGPT, it uses a curated corpus of 561 substantive decisions and follows this research workflow without requiring the user to formulate a detailed prompt.
The tool is currently in public beta. Important citations should be verified, and corrections or suggestions are very welcome. As for any GPT, do not provide confidential information!
