Hi! My name is Iuri Grangeiro and I'm a Brazilian applied mathematics master's student and a world-class one-handed Rubik's cube solver.
Academically, my interests revolve around statistical mechanics, with emphasis on ising models. Outside of that, I also take an interest in combinatorics and analysis. I graduated with a bachelors in physics in 2019 and am currently studying surface tension in ising models while being advised by Prof. Rodrigo Bissacot on the applied mathematics master's program at IME-USP.
Cubing wise, I use the Roux method, and I am currently ranked 1st in South America and 4th in the world for one-handed average. I am also a proficient two-handed solver nationally, having won the 2018 Brazilian Rubik's cube Championship and being the runner-up in the 2019 edition.
