The IUCr (www.iucr.org) is offering 3 travel grants of 500$ to early-career scientists, which relate to graduate students, post-graduate students or post-docotral fellows within five years of receiving a graduate degree. Academic interruptions, including periods of parental leave, are taken into accout.
While no strict document checklist is required, a motivation letter is encouraged specifying the interest of the participant into the topics of this school.

Electra e.V. (https://electraec.wordpress.com/), a non-profit associtation for the advancement of electron crystallography, is offering 5 travel grants of varying amounts, up to 1000€ each. Grants may cover school registration and accommodation; limited additional funds are available to assist travel to Calgary. Grantees are expected to also attend the IUCr Congress.
While no strict document checklist is required, preference will be given to applications that address the following:
Scientific interest: Explain how attending the school is relevant to your research and future plans. A short motivation letter is recommended.
Financial need: Demonstrate that attendance depends on external funding (e.g., lack of institutional support). A supporting letter from a supervisor can be helpful.
