Actors will received a rented libretto to use during the production, and all markings will be made in pencil and erased at the end of the run.
This is a digital version of the LIBRETTO (including the vocal music). You can download it for your own use.
(NOTE: The LEADS will receive a printed, spiral-bound copy of the libretto because they will need to highlight throughout the entire book--apologies to everyone else--it's just too expensive to print them for everyone when we've already paid to rent librettos! Thanks for understanding.)
ANNOTATED Piano/Conductor Vocal Score & Track Notes from Jodie Gillespie, Pianist Extraordinaire!
Hi everyone,
I’ve been going through the Conductor Score and making notes for help with rehearsals. Here is a copy of my notes (BELOW), if it is helpful to you. If not, no worries! It’s helpful to me, so I was going to do it anyway.
- Jodie
Just some disclaimers:
These notes are with the intent to help with practice at home and at rehearsal. I know that some of the breaks and stuff left out of the tracks can be added back in for the actual show. These are just notes to go with the rehearsal tracks.
Also, as you know, some of the tracks include multiple songs or parts of songs. For ease of reference, I only used the first number in the name of each rehearsal track. For instance, one track is called “01D-01E Act 1 Opening (Part 4)-Act 1 Opening (Part 5).” I only call this track “1D” in the score.
NOTE KEY:
BLUE highlights - track number
YELLOW highlights - time stamps to help us easily find starting points in the tracks
GREEN highlights - notes about the music for reference
Act 2 RED ink - occasionally I highlighted specific notes in the music to help recognize what melody is dominant.
