This no longer works in iOS15 and the latest itunes. Although it will copy your app over, on your iphone it starts installing then says "must be installed from app store." If the app is no longer there in the store, it will not install and the app will be useless (Showing with the cloud download button, which won't work).

I installed an iOS app (.ipa file) on my iPad using iTunes for PC (with Windows 10 21H2).The iPad's UDID is listed in Apple Developer Console list of devices. So it is a Developer test ipa for a test device.I've connected the iPad to the PC after iTunes was started and was able to install the ipa by dragging it to iTunes and dropping it on the left lower "On my Device" pane.I started iTunes after the iPad was connected to the PC and was able to install the ipa by dragging it to iTunes and dropping it on the left lower "Devices" pane.

I don't think it will install on Monterey. I know the Mac Apple TV App is totally useless when it comes to actually organizing your media. I would get a cheap Windows machine with iTunes and an external drive and use it if you like iTunes. I do. I know, for everything Mac seems to be better. but movies tv shows and home videos is a Pain in the @#$ in the Apple TV App. Sorry, I wish they would update it or something.

I had the same problem, used Retroactive to re-install iTunes now it's running, my music from the external drive is all there, playlists etc... tbh I don't really use iTunes much anymore but I need my music library with almost 400GB of music for work occasionally and I can't afford to lose it and its playlists.

i hate to say this but down if you can downgrade to mac os catalina do it. if you want itunes and don't care about the new stuff about the new upgrades mac os catalina will still be supported untill nov 30th 2022 or 2023 i have to check that. i am new mac but i did a lot of research on mac and i am downgrading now it will take time but you will get itunes so i think it is worth it and this it not finale. i can not streas this anuff BACK UP YOUR DATEA it will erase evreything if you dont

After reading through all the comments/recommendations I was able to resolve the "Sign in to iTunes..." issue by going to the app --> general --> and checking the box that states "Make app managed if currently installed as unmanaged".

-nation/discussions/27755/self-service-ios-asking-for-itunes-login it's probably self service (or another app) trying to auto-install without VPP licenses. Be sure you have VPP licenses for all scoped apps, and be sure you've ticked the tiny box under the VPP tab on every single app your're scoping.

I fixed this issue by unchecking "Display app in Self Service after it is installed" on all of my provisioned mobile apps. We weren't pushing self service at the time so that caused jamf to loop the same error message.

Try installing Apple Application Support only by extracting it from iTunessetup.exe, as suggested in this thread -> i get a message Apple Application support is required, reinstall iTunes plus err 2,all this happened since last update reinstalling does'nt fix problem

Thanks your reply solved m issue, I downloaded iTunes and using WinRAR I extracted the installer. I installed Apple Application Support.msi and it successfully intalled. I later installed the other parts of the installer. rpoblem solved thanks!!

I cannot get iTunes to download on any of my computers at home. I've tried a different browser, I've tried uninstalling, and I know that all the components are off my computer. I'm still not able to dowload it.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

I'm pulling my feathers out over this. I have removed every reference to apple or iTunes from the registry. I have deleted all the folders that referenced them. And it still won't install. It comes up with the same error about a previous version must be removed. Any ideas on how to remove it?

Hello. If you haven't already, I would suggest following the removal steps in the article here. If uninstalling via the Windows Control Panel doesn't work, or traces of iTunes still remain, you can try the manual removal steps under "Make sure that iTunes and its related components are completely uninstalled." After following these steps, restart your computer and try installing the latest version of iTunes again.

Hello. It sounds like there are still some traces of iTunes somewhere on your system then. You may want to double-check your install directories and Windows registry to see if there are any traces of iTunes still there. Alternatively, you could use a Windows uninstaller program or cleaner to remove any leftover portions of iTunes to see if this resolves the issue. In addition to this, it may be worthwhile to contact Apple Support for additional assistance regarding this issue, as they may have further suggestions of their own.

Again thank you for your response. I agree that there's something hiding somewhere. But for the life of me I can't find it. I just finished running both geek uninstaller and WinZip registry cleanup. Neither found any issues. I believe you're right my next call should be to Apple support.

Start with the Install missing components section of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates, or see the section Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components and do a full tear down and rebuild

New Windows 10 PC. Installed iTunes on my account and all is good. But iTunes does not appear on my wife's account. Not good. If I try to install iTunes on her account I get this message: "One or more users on this computer have installed iTunes from the Microsoft Store. iTunes may not run correctly after the installation. Do you want to continue?" We have separate iTunes accounts and everything worked well on the old PC. How can I get her Win 10 account to see iTunes to use her iTunes? Help is appreciated!

Take out the version from the Microsoft Store, reinstall using the traditional iTunes64Setup.exe download. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for further advice if required. Links to the most recent builds are now at the bottom of the page.

I got some iPads that are supervised and enrolled in DEP. I "purchased" the app Meraki Systems Manager in VPP/Apple Business manager and made it "device assigned" to all devices. But when I erase a device and install it as new I get this message on the iPad:

Noah_Salzman I am having the same issue getting the "allow ios.meraki.com" message when erasing and reloading a device. VPP assignments are set to Device assignment and plenty of Meraki System Manager licenses exist for the install. If i look at the Event log the details say "name: Meraki Systems Manager, error: Could not retrieve license for the app with iTunes Store ID 472572194., status: Error" There is not an Apple ID in use on the device.

Thanks for the post! Unfortunately, I have already tried restarting - twice - but it still says the same thing. I try to update my phone and it says I need to update iTunes. So I check for updates for itunes and it says i'm up to date. What can I do??

So, I was about to install iTunes on my MacBook Pro and it required Catalina or above. Installed it and now the iTunes installation tells me I'm still not up to date, but I have the latest MacOS installed?

"Why can't I install iTunes on a windows 10 machine? Why can't I install iTunes on a windows 10 machine for the first ever? Before you ask, I hae never used Apple software or owned any Apple product before."

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. When reinstalling right click on the downloaded setup file and use run as administrator. It may also help to temporarily disable any non-Microsoft anti-virus.

I've seen a couple of posts recently where installation was failing during the install of Bonjour. You can try the method given at Install missing components to install all of the other components, which might work although likely leaves AirPlay and Home Sharing broken. Installing Bonjour from a slightly earlier build could fix that. 0852c4b9a8
