About the Film

Frank Starke is a stubborn old man settled into the quiet rhythm of life in New Hampshire. His eldest son, Noah, worries about his father’s future and gathers his siblings Samantha, the sharp and devoted middle child, and Andrew, the well-meaning but perpetually distracted youngest, to discuss what comes next for their aging dad.

The discussion circles the obvious problem without quite saying it aloud. Their father is getting older. He’s alone more than he admits. Something has to change.

Maybe Frank needs more community. Maybe he needs a new purpose. Maybe he just needs something to get him out of the house

While Noah goes to talk with their father, Samantha and Andrew quietly craft a plan of their own: if Frank hates the idea, it was Noah’s suggestion—but if he loves it, then naturally they came up with it.

As the family works behind the scenes to bring their unlikely scheme together, Frank remains largely unaware that his quiet life may be about to change in ways none of them can fully predict.
