IOS vs. Android

Some of the biggest and most popular criteria is "I want an iPhone" for buying a Phone, laptop or tablet and if you do want iOS for things like Facetime, Messenger, Air Drop and the user experience then yes, iPhone's are good. But for any other situation Android has superior specs, actual performance and OS experience. Take the fully specked iPhone 12 Pro Max for example which costs around 1600$, even a brand like Samsung which, to be clear is also very overpriced, cannot stand a chance from a practical point of view. iPhones are fast yes, but Androids are most of the time faster. iPhones have OK displays, Android's normally has awesome ones in this price range. Even security has more options at least on Androids with In-Screen-Fingerprint-Scanners, face unlock and more depending on which device.
