About Us

Welcome to It’s Cookie Day! 

We are a mother-daughter duo that strives to make people happy with our one-of-a-kind, delicious, and custom made cookies. We offer a variety of types of cookies and treats - from chocolate chip cookies to mini funfetti cakes. We are most well known for our famous cut-out cookies, because they are unlike any other cut-out cookie on the market. 

Our business began in 1994 when April brought her cookies to a gift wrapping party. The leftover cookies were taken to a beauty shop where a customer asked if April would be willing to sell her some of the cookies for Christmas. April began selling her cookies to friends and family, not realizing one day how popular they would become. 

April, being the mother of 5, would have her children help her in the kitchen when she was baking. While many families have Christmas memories of driving around to look at Christmas lights, going sledding, or drinking hot cocoa - the Budzinski family will tell you that Christmas tradition means the whole family in the kitchen, covered in flour, singing Christmas songs, and working together late into the night baking, icing, and decorating cookies.  It was during this time that Emma, the 4th child, discovered her love and talent for icing cookies. She was always the most passionate about helping her mom in the kitchen. Emma’s icing far surpassed any one else’s, and she knew she had a special love for it. 

In 2018, Emma graduated high school, and pursued business management at The Ohio State University in hopes of joining her mom in the cookies business. She has dedicated her studies, talents, and passions into It’s Cookie Day and can’t wait to take the business even further. 

Our goals are to meet the needs of our customers, create happiness through our cookies, and eventually open up a store front. We love the look on people’s faces, not only when they see our beautiful creations, but also when they taste how delicious our cookies are! 

We absolutely love helping others make their events special, or their day-to-day lives more exciting through our hand-crafted, delicious cookies. We highly value our customers and the relationships we’ve formed throughout the year through our business. We strive to always put the best ingredients and craftsmanship into our products. 

It’s Cookie Day is more than a cookie business. It’s a family passion, a team of loving people, and a way to make your event even more meaningful...and tasty too!
