So I was looking at the website for "International Talk Like Jar Jar Binks Day" (ITLJJBD), and saw that they were hosting an art competition. Now, I usually don't participate in that sort of thing, since I'm not the best at drawing, and usually know that I wouldn't stand a chance. But then I read further, and saw that the competition was to draw Jar Jar as a character in any other movie. That means that I could draw him as Iron Man. And if there's one thing I know how to draw, it's Iron Man.

I naturally started with sketches, all in different positions. Most of them ended up fine. I next decided to try a sketch on a bigger scale, which ended up not so fine. So instead, I would ink and colour one of the sketches. Now what tool to use. Aha. Pens. Why pens? Because the drawing would look better with more "detail", and using lines to colour provides a great amount of "detail". Red was used as the main colour, and black was used for shading. I had no gold pen, so simply didn't use any gold. Finally, I added a background, because apparently a background, even a simple one, can make a drawing look better. Don't quote me on that, though.

Well, here is the final product. I think it ended up looking pretty good. I ended up using some pencil crayons for Jar Jar's face, and for the repulsors and the Arc Reactor. You'll also see mountains in the background, which although simple, do make it look more detailed.
