Dr Ian Nicolson is a retired environmental auditor, who was born in Scotland, UK and has spent the last 25 years in Asia (Hong Kong & Thailand). He is a volunteer member of the Pattaya Expat Club's production team and often leads the open forum.

His tastes in movies and TV shows focus around good acting and good stories. He is especially fond of historical and crime drama, not so much science fiction or Comic book sensationalist movies.

He uses IMDB (the Internet Movie Database) as a guide to whether a show is worth watching, anything that scores above 7/10 is worth watching based on his experience. He has a lousy memory so uses Trakt to record what he has watched.
