UNIFORMS: All competitors must wear a clean gi (uniform).
KIHON:
The Kihon event will be held for 10th – 4th kyu.
Male and female divisions may be combined up to age 16
INDIVIDUAL KATA COMPETITION
Kata competition may be judged by the point and or flag system.
Male and female divisions may be combined.
Competitor divisions will include those ages 36-49 and a separate division for those age 50 plus
10th – 4th kyu-One (1) Kyu Kata
3rd kyu and up – May need to do up to two (2) black belt katas
Any Japanese or Okinawan katas may be performed.
In case of draw a flag system rematch may be performed with a different kata
INDIVIDUAL KUMITE
Children, teens and adults will be competing in Jyu Kumite (free sparring).
Female and male ages 10 and up will be in separate divisions.
Competitor divisions will include those ages 36-49 and a separate division for those age 50 plus
For children contact to face is prohibited.
1. Match Duration:
Children: 1.5 minutes, 2 ippon
Teens & Adults: 2 minutes, 3 ippon
2. Black Belts
Elimination and semi-final: 2 minutes, 4 ippon
3. Finals:
2 minutes, 6 points
(Ippon is full point and Wazaari is half point)
Score and schedule are subject to change
KOBUDO
Competition may be judged by point and / or flag system. Kata rules may be applied. Sharp weapons may not be used.
AWARDS
Metals/Trophies will be awarded for both the in-person and online tournament
