Hello! My name is Amberlin Chen, and as this year’s ITI Director, I’m thrilled to welcome you to the 25th Annual Intercollegiate Taiko Invitational, hosted by Stanford Taiko. Thank you for visiting our official website, which we hope will be a helpful guide to ITI Weekend. Through this website, you will be able to access the general event schedule, a list of our professional workshop instructors, a list of participating collegiate taiko groups, and other information.

Preparing for ITI Weekend
ITI Weekend can be a busy time for everyone! To help you in your preparation, we’ve compiled a list of things you may want to bring:
- Your bachi (chu, shime, odaiko, etc.)
- We will have a variety of workshops throughout the weekend, so it’d be great to especially bring your chu bachi and shime bachi, if you have them. The most common items left behind are bachi, so you may want to mark them somehow (as well as any other small personal belongings). We will have a Lost & Found!
- Water bottle
- Clothing that allows for movement
- Comfortable shoes
- Hachimaki for the friendly hachimaki exchange!
- As in other years, we will have a time on Sunday (Day 2) to exchange hachimaki to celebrate new friendships made at ITI. For those new to ITI, these hachimaki tend to be creatively handmade, and we look forward to seeing your creations this year!
