Ciao!

My name is Professoressa Sara.

I graduated from the University of Sydney in 2012 with a Double Degree: Bachelor of Education (Secondary: Humanities & Social Sciences) and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Italian, French and TESOL.

I am the Head Teacher of Languages at a private high school in Sydney, currently teaching Italian to students across all secondary years. I have over nine years experience in a high school setting and I am highly competent in lesson preparation and language assessment. I enjoy the challenge of creating lessons which cater for a wide variety of student needs and learning styles.

I have been an Italian HSC Marker for the last few years with experience in delivering the Beginners, Continuers and Extension courses.

I have run courses for parents and staff of our school community, giving adults the unique opportunity to learn Italian in the same fun and engaging way in which school students learn in the classroom.

During my many trips to Italy, I have completed intensive language courses at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, during which I have enhanced my teaching practice.

I have been fortunate enough to accompany several school groups on Italian Overseas Tours as part of my current role, and as such, have developed a deep knowledge and appreciation for the Italian culture.

I am passionate about teaching Italian, and I absolutely love all things Italy!

2020 and 2021 were rough years for all of us, but I learnt some valuable lessons about teaching:

This got me thinking about how I could expand my teaching, and as such, I am embarking on a new journey - to teach online Italian lessons for all ages at all levels.

Whether you want your children to start learning another language from a young age, you need to find a tutor for your teenager who is studying Italian at high school or you wish to fulfil your lifelong dream to become bilingual, I am sure I can help you!

Lessons are flexible and can be delivered one-on-one or in small groups. I am offering after-school hours and weekend lesson times with a variety of lesson lengths, depending on your desired learning outcome.
