Colleen Stone, artist and illustrator, is happiest with her hands in wet paint, her feet on a trail through the forest, or visiting with the birds in her garden. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, nature is her constant inspiration. She dreams of a world where people are kind, animals can talk, and trees live forever.

I am an 80-year-old, mixed media artist and have had the privilege of traveling in more than thirty countries. These travels have informed every aspect of my life and opinions allowing me to absorb other bits of cultures and ideas, making friends and having incredible experiences that changed me. I used to sing a song, “The World is Your Hometown,” which is something we so easily forget when focused on our own lives.
Over the last ten years since I started painting, I have given away thousands of paintings for a donation to non-profits or people in need. Through art I not only fulfill my own passion for painting, but am able to contribute to the greater good.

Amateur artist who loves working with vibrant colors.
I have been working with clay since I first moved to the US from India in 1997. My craft has brought me immense joy and comfort while enabling me to connect to the community. Since being transplanted out of my known community, I understand the importance of "belonging" and "home". Though my craft and teaching I strive to foster community and to feel a sense of belonging. My fruit bowl is a symbol of that connection to my extended family members who have helped make me what I am today, it truly takes a village!
