Activism

As our society questions the status quo and challenges it in ways that may be uncomfortable for some to understand, it is important that the narrative for these changes is based behind a purpose. The purpose of It Takes a 'Hood's activism is to champion change based on the tenets of equality and equity. A society that holds as its core a belief in citizens' freedoms and basic human rights can not be just, fair or harmonious if it doesn't actively promote true equality and equity for all while denouncing and tearing down systems that keep specific groups from achieving their dreams.
