Following the show's debut on Netflix in the summer of 2020, details about It's Okay to Not Be Okay season 2 have been slow to arrive. The K-drama series tells the story of two orphaned brothers, Moon Gang-Tae and Moon Sang-Tae, who develop a connection with children's book author Ko Moon-Young. The three characters learn to heal and grow through their relationships, and It's Okay to Not Be Okay incorporates mental health into the storyline. Screenwriter Jo Yong told Naver that she based the show on her experiences dating a man with a personality disorder (translated by Annyeong Oppa). Her compassion and care are reflected in the script.

Season 1 of It's Okay to Not Be Okay was praiseworthy for its representation of individuals with mental illnesses and neurodivergence. The show topped the list of the most influential TV dramas for five weeks according to Nielsen Media Research, a metric determined by social media discussion (via HanCinema). Despite its popularity, which is also evident by its very high IMDb user rating, It's Okay to Not Be Okay has not yet been renewed for season 2, and it's uncertain whether the show will in fact ever continue.

Despite its critical acclaim and impressive viewership numbers, It's Okay to Not Be Okay season 2 has not yet been confirmed. In fact, it's unlikely to occur at all. Though American TV shows usually go on for many seasons, K-dramas plan for a complete story in a single season. Even with Korean shows like Squid Game and All of Us Are Dead breaking the mold, few K-dramas divert from this format.

Following the norm, It's Okay to Not Be Okay wraps up most of its story's loose ends by the end of season 1. The show solves the mystery of the mom's death. The brothers get justice when the killer goes to jail. The love story comes together with a happy ending. It's Okay to Not Be Okay season 2 is unnecessary after the complete ending.

Despite an unlikely season 2, audiences could predict a release date based on information from It's Okay to Not Be Okay season 1. The Korean TV channel tvN first shared table-read photos with the website Naver on May 8, 2020. The show proceeded to release its first episodes on June 20, 2020, with a staggered release schedule. Considering this rapid turnaround, audiences can expect that It's Okay to Not Be Okay season 2 would release shortly after its production companies, Story TV and Gold Medalist, share news of the continuation.

If the show returns, It's Okay to Not Be Okay season 2 would bring back the actors cast as the main trio. Kim Soo-Hyun would continue as Moon Gang-Tae, the psychiatric caretaker. Oh Jung-Se would play Moon Sang-Te, the autistic older brother of Gang-Tae. Seo Yi-Tae would act as Ko Moon-Young, the children's book author with antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). In addition to these actors, the show would likely include Jang Young-Nam as Park Haeng-Ja, Moon-Young's mother who went to jail at the end of It's Okay to Not Be Okay season 1.

Other cast members with the potential to return include supporting characters. Park Gyu-Young could return as Nam Ju-Ri, Gang-Tae's nurse coworker who holds unrequited feelings for him. Kim Joo-Hun could come back as Lee Sang-In, the CEO of the company that publishes Moon-Young's books. Additionally, Kim Chang-Wan could continue as Oh Ji-Wang, the director of the psychiatric hospital where Gang-Tae works. These characters could benefit the story if It's Okay to Not Be Okay gained a second season.

If It's Okay to Not Be Okay gets renewed for season 2, the story would likely focus on the way Moon-Young processes the emotions and grief brought up by Haeng-Ja's imprisonment. While Moon-Young seems to get closure, healing isn't a linear path. She likely would present long-term symptoms caused by the trauma of her mom's jail sentence. Additionally, Moon-Young would almost definitely experience a flare-up of ASPD symptoms related to stress.

That would not have solely impacted her, though. The brothers would feel the influence of Moon-Young's mental illness worsening. The show would likely see Gang-Tae and Sang-Tae struggle with the emotions of retraumatization. Their loss came back up, even if justice was served. Given It's Okay to Not Be Okay's reputation for addressing and handling mental illness well, it's likely Jo Yong would focus on this aspect of the characters in season 2.

This is because it is rare for K-dramas to have second seasons, unlike Western shows, since the makers usually plan to tell the entire story of the series in one season, even though certain shows like Squid Game and All of Us Are Dead break this pattern.

Jonathan Entwistle, the showrunner and cocreator of the coming-of-age drama about a 17-year-old girl with superpowers, recently spoke with Insider about the shifting landscape at Netflix. During that conversation, he also shed light on why he believes his show was canceled even though his team had already written and planned a second season.

After the first season of "I Am Not Okay With This" premiered on February 26, Entwistle said the show's viewership was strong "on day one." It then dwindled, which is typical for a show on a streamer.

Entwistle, who also cocreated "The End of the Fxxxing World," also spoke about why he wanted to recut the first season finale following the show's cancellation, but why that ultimately never came to fruition.

"Many of the questions that we posed in the first season were mapped out for a second season," Entwistle said. "When they commissioned season two and they greenlit us into the writers room, they told us it was to be the final season. So we were writing to a finale that we'd already planned."

"I think I've seen a few people talking and the figures are about right: It's about anywhere between $5 to $10 million per season of television for the PPE, and for the testing, and for the systematic changes with which to make it safer," he explained.

The show's first season tells the building story of Syd Novak (played by Sophia Lillis) discovering that she has superpowers. By the finale, Syd has uncovered some clues about her late father's past, all of which indicate that he might have struggled with the same superpowers.

A mysterious shadowy figure, who was following Syd throughout the first season, appears once again in the season finale. And when Syd asks, "Who are you? Should I be afraid," the man replies: "They should be afraid. Let's begin."

"We needed a hook to go into season two," Entwistle said of the finale. "That was something that had been, you know, not forced upon us in the writing, but definitely something we were made very acutely aware of. Me and Christy [Hall] wrote that scene pretty much on location in Pittsburgh."

Somewhat ironically, Entwistle's other Netflix series, "The End of the Fxxxing World," would have made a perfect single-season show. But Netflix greenlit that show for season two and it was filmed last year.

"For 'The End of the Fxxxing World' I was like, 'We don't need to make another one,'" the writer continued. "I think [it] would have been amazing to have just left it as this legendary thing that existed, like 'Freaks and Geeks. Just that one season of like, 'What the f---? That's so cool.'"

When Rory unexpectedly arrives at the diner, she and Lorelai are in similar states of denial. Lorelai is surprised to hear that Logan's bridesmaids infidelity was a misunderstanding and everything is now "fine." She doesn't press Rory on this, still scarred from their (easily avoidable) separation earlier in the season, but clocks it as troubling. While everything initially seems fine with Luke, s'mores chef extraordinaire, weirdness crops up during Lane's engagement announcement. Luke was there when Zack proposed but somehow "forgot" to tell Lorelai about it. It seems more likely that he neglected to mention it because he knew it would make Lorelai sad, reminding her of their indefinitely postponed engagement.

All-weather tires that earn the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) designation offer winter-driving capabilities along with capable performance in all seasons. Instead of changing your tires twice a year (from summer to winter tires and vice-versa), all-weather tires handle great in the summer and offer better grip than standard all-season tires in winter driving conditions. However, all-weather tires might not be as quiet as all-season tires and may not last as long.

Want to stick with one set of tires all year long? All-weather tires make it possible. While they do give you better traction in the snow and ice than all-seasons, they do not perform as well in the winter as a set of snow tires, nor do they handle as well as a set of all-season tires on wet and dry roads. Plus, a set of all-season tires can often be quieter and improve fuel efficiency or range.

The right tires for your vehicle and driving needs are at Les Schwab. Our pros can help you choose the right snow tires, electric vehicle (EV) tires, as well as all-season or all-weather tires for year-round safety.

Winter tires are made with a special rubber compound that stays flexible in temperatures below 45 F. This means those tires can grip the snow and road better. In contrast, all-season tires can become rigid in colder temperatures, reducing grip on the road. All-weather tires stay flexible at lower temperatures, but not as low as winter tires.

Winter tires often have a much deeper tread than all-season or all-weather tires. This helps snow tires reduce snow buildup and moves slush and water away from the tire, giving you more traction. All-season and all-weather tires feature moderate tread depth and sipes for dry and wet road performance and to help avoid hydroplaning. Some all-weather tires have more tread depth than the typical all-season tire to help with traction on snow and ice.

All-season tires typically do not have aggressive or biting edges for added control on snow-covered roads. However, winter tires as well as some all-weather tires do feature tread with biting edges. This gives them a more aggressive look and added performance on snow and ice. 2351a5e196
