Illinois State women's club volleyball was founded in 2006 by female athletes wanting to compete at a high level while still achieving academic success as full-time students. Over the years, the club has expanded and grown in many ways. In 2008, we were the Division II National Champions. After that accomplishment, we were moved into the Division I category, which competes at a very high level each year. Playing against other Intercollegiate Clubs across the nation, we usually compete in three or four tournaments each semester before heading to NCVF (National Collegiate Volleyball Federation) Nationals, which are usually held at the beginning of April. The club fields two teams, each consisting of around 8-12 players.
We like to hang out as a club off the court as well bonding and fundraising as a team. Although we take this sport and this club very seriously, we love to have fun!
