Mrs. Istchenko's Music Room

👋 Hello! I'm Danielle Istchenko. I'm a proud HCS Giant at Herons Crossing School and I teach grades 5 through 8 general music, choir, and concert band. Well, not choir and band so much this year, but my dream is to get back to it as soon as we can do so safely! I've taught music and band in RVS since 2003 and I also taught in high school music Ontario for a few years before that.

🎵 My students are my favourite musicians (I'm not kidding!), and I'm delighted to work with the wonderful students at Herons Crossing School to make music together.

🎺🥁🎷 In 2019-2020 we started our very first HCS Concert Band! Covid-19 interrupted us, but we'll get back to it as soon as we can. I'll keep you posted!
