Istanbul University Master Programs
Besides being a university hospital, Medipol Mega Hospitals Complex, which is the biggest private medical investment in Turkey, is a medical complex consisting of four separate branches.
It is also distinguished as the hospital with the highest number of branches in Turkey including General Training Hospital, Oncology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Dental Hospital. Not only the students of Medicine Dentistry, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursery, Healthcare Management Departments in the undergraduate programs, but also those of Vocational School of Health Service which hold several areas of expertise get their training in this hospital. Moreover, Specialty in Medicine training is being held in the extremely well-equipped clinics of our hospital.
Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University offers, high quality and ambitious postgraduate education in its Anatolian and European campuses of Istanbul. The courses offered by the faculty members provide a better career opportunity for the graduate students both in the private and public sectors. Our master's and doctorate programs with thesis prepare our students for a successful academic career both in national and international institutions. Students are required to participate in the courses, and to take sufficient time in the semester and the thesis period to conduct scientific studies and research. With an amount of 3350 students, graduate student ratio has reached approximately 40% and stays as one of the best universities in Turkey.
In graduate programs, partial and full scholarships can be given according to student's undergraduate and master program GPA the student's ALES, YDS, YÖKDİL, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT scores and the results of the Science Assessment Exam conducted by our University. Furthermore, within the scope of the protocols with the institutions, discounts are provided to the employees of the organization or to the members of the NGOs, and IZU is open to new cooperations for this perk. There is also a 10% discount for the first degree relatives who are registered in the graduate program.
Applications for the graduate programs of our university are accepted through our official website. Applications are not received on any other internet page or any social media accounts except the offical website of our university.
Family Counseling and Education (ADE)master's program with and without thesis does not promise any job to its graduates. The employment of graduates of these departments depends on the decisions taken by the relevant institutions.
Graduates of theology, Islamic sciences, psychology, psychological counseling and guidance departments of the related faculties can apply to the Spiritual Counseling and Guidance Master's program.
Foreign language requirement is not required for applying to the Master's program with and without thesis in Spiritual Counseling and Guidance (MDR).
In Family Counseling and Education (ADE)graduate programs with and without thesis, a one-semester scientific preparation program will be applied.
In Family Counseling and Education (ADE)master's program with thesis, those who score 55 and above in ALES Equal Weight Score Type can apply.
ALES score is not required for applying to the Non-Thesis Master's Program in Spiritual Counseling and Guidance (ADE).
If there is an application above the determined quota for the Master of Family Counseling and Education (ADE)programs with and without thesis, students can be selected by conducting a science exam and oral interviews.
Students who will takeADE graduate preparatory courses will be able to take preparatory courses individually, and when necessary, they will be able to take these courses with undergraduate students when the number of classes is reached in line with the decision of the department.
ADE Master's courses will be scheduled on weekdays evenings and / or on Saturdays at the central campus in Halkalı. However, if there is sufficient demand, a class can be opened in Altunizade campus. In addition, daytime classes can be opened in both campuses, upon sufficient demand. The curriculum depends on the number of students each semester, the qualifications of the courses to be opened, etc. It may vary depending on the conditions.
Family Counseling and Education (ADE)graduate program with and without thesis operates within the Graduate Education Institute of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University and operates like other departments in line with the relevant regulations and directives. In the admission of students to the non-thesis master's program; ALES and language scores are not required. The undergraduate weighted grade point averages and science evaluation exam results of the candidates applying to the program are taken into consideration. In the evaluation to be made for admission, candidates are ranked according to their overall success grade. General success grade; It consists of the sum of 50% of the undergraduate weighted grade point average and 50% of the grade received in the science evaluation exam. The principles regarding this evaluation and the other conditions that the candidates must meet for the application are determined by the institute board upon the recommendation of the head of the department. However, the institute can accept students to non-thesis master's programs by evaluating only the undergraduate weighted grade point average.
Graduates of the Master without Thesis Program cannot apply to the doctorate program. However, students enrolled or graduated from non-thesis master's programs before 06/02/2013 can apply to the doctorate program.
- The Scientific Preparation Program is applied to the graduates of the Guidance and Psychological Counseling undergraduate and the Guidance and Psychological Counseling master's program with thesis. (Applications are not accepted except for these programs.)
-Graduates of the Non-Thesis Master's Program cannot apply to the doctorate program. However, students enrolled or graduated from non-thesis master's programs before 06/02/2013 can apply to the doctorate program.
-Graduates of the Master's program without thesis cannot apply to the doctoral program. However, students who are enrolled in non-thesis master's programs and who have graduated before 06/02/2013 can apply to the doctoral program.
- Graduates of the Non-Thesis Master's Program cannot apply to the doctoral program. However, students who registered or graduated from non-thesis master's programs before 06/02/2013 can apply to the doctoral program.
- Having a master's degree with a thesis in Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Sociology or History, Political Science and/or International Relations, Political Science/International Relations, and non-graduate preparatory undergraduate programs in Political Science/International Public Relations or Public Studies is applied.
- To get at least 55 points from ALES (any of the SÖZ or EA-score types). See table for GRE-ALES equivalence.
