For this assignment I used Adobe InDesign to design a magazine article layout for Panoply. This graduate class assignment was a real world experience as the project ended up in a magazine that was to be distributed on the Missouri S&T campus.
This assignment tasked each student to create a product and write a proposal white paper for said product. For my project I designed the Travel MEd, a product made for diabetics by diabetics. As a Type 1 Diabetic this project was near and dear to me. I myself have struggled with being a long distance runner and diabetic due to the amount of medical equipment needed in case of an emergancy. The white paper for this original product is meant to sound professional and informative.
This Hands-On Lab Assignment focused on learning how to use the Excel Filter and Pivot Table. The Excel Filter allows the user to set filters to the data based on the criteria set. The Pivot Table is used to group set values, allowing for an extensive table within one or more categories. This summary can include sums, averages, and other statistics. The Pivot Table is then able to group together data using a chosen function which is applied to the grouped values.

This Hands-On Lab Assignment focused on learning how to use the Excel Logical Function. The Excel Logical Function provides decision-making tools for information within a spreadsheet. This means that by using this function you are able to look at the contents of a cell, perform a calculation, and even test results against a required figure or value. There are many logical functions that can be used in Excel, some include, AND, OR, TRUE, or FALSE.
