 ITC Classmate along with the Art Department of Salwan Public School, Gurugram orchestrated an Origami Activity for students of Grade V and VI on November 2nd, 2023, within the school premises. The participants' unique and innovative origami creations were acknowledged with gifts and certificates of appreciation. This not only inspired students to showcase their creativity but also rendered the activity a memorable and enjoyable experience for all participants.

An in-depth Time Management Skills session was meticulously organized at Salwan Public School, Gurugram, on 17th November 2023 by MY PEEGU for students of classes IX and X, which aimed to provide practical tools for enhanced productivity and academic excellence. The session effectively emphasized the pivotal role of time management in both academic and personal domains, highlighting the potential consequences of suboptimal time utilization. The introduction of well-established methodologies, including the Pomodoro Technique and the ABC Method that sensitized students with actionable strategies to prioritize their tasks and optimize study routines. The session featured dynamic engagement through thoughtfully curated activities, group discussions, and an interactive Q&A segment, fostering a positive and enriching learning atmosphere. On 21st November 2023, The Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) conducted an insightful workshop on awareness about Waste Management for the students of Class VII at Salwan Public School Gurugram. The workshop aimed to educate and raise awareness about the importance of segregation of waste. The programme commenced with the ribbon cutting and inauguration by our school Principal Smt. Rashmi Malik. The awareness workshop was conducted by Ms.Aakansha, DGM, IPCA followed by a Street Play and various activities for students.The students actively participated in interactive sessions, learning about segregation of waste, recycling methods, and the environmental impact of improper waste management. The workshop not only provided theoretical knowledge but also included practical demonstrations to reinforce the ideas explored. Students left the session with a heightened sense of environment conservation, equipped with the knowledge to implement positive changes in waste management practices both within the school premises and in their communities. The collaboration with the Indian Pollution Control Association proved to be a valuable initiative in fostering environmental awareness and responsibility within students.

On 20th November 2023, Salwan Public School in Gurugram hosted an insightful session on strategies for entrance examination preparation featuring Mr. Ashish Mohan, the Co-founder of Super 30. Mr. Mohan's insights into post-10th-grade academic choices provided students with valuable perspectives, aiding them in making well-informed decisions about their educational trajectories.

His readiness to address questions from parents underscored a dedication to fostering transparent communication and community involvement. Touching upon the topic of the 85% Delhi quota in entrance exams, Mr. Ashish Mohan highlighted the importance of understanding its dual impact: while it seeks to benefit local students, it also intensifies academic competition. This dialogue strengthened ties between parents and the school, promoting a synergistic environment conducive to the comprehensive development of students.

Subsequently, the Principal's engagement with parents further enhanced transparency. On Thursday, November 23, 2023, Pallavan Learning Systems conducted a workshop with the aim of illuminating alternative approaches to teaching mathematics through the lens of history. The distinguished resource person for the workshop was Dr. Dinesh Singh, a Padmashri Awardee and former Vice Chancellor of Delhi University. The event garnered participation from four mathematics faculty members from Salwan Public School, Gurugram.

The webinar centered on rendering Mathematics more accessible, comprehensible, and relatable by incorporating historical contexts. It aimed to showcase the evolution of mathematical ideas, present engaging narratives, and highlight cultural perspectives. Dr. Dinesh, the resource person, underscored the importance of instilling a love for the subject. He emphasized that students grasp mathematical concepts more easily through visualization. Additionally, he advocated for a return to allowing students to play with numbers and engage in mental calculations, akin to earlier educational practices

On November 9th, 2023 students of class IX from Salwan Public School, Gurugramalong with teachers embarked on a research expedition to Farukhnagar under the project “Education Through Monuments”, exploring the historical monuments of ‘Sethani ki Chhatri’, ‘Baoli Ghaus Ali Shah’, ‘Sitaram Mandir’, and ‘Sheesh Mahal’.The objective of the visit was to intertwine education with monuments fostering interdisciplinary thinking, critical analysis, effective communication, collaboration, creativity, and research skills among students. Students unveiled the historical significance of these monuments. They further analyzed architectural designs to integrate mathematical concepts, linking theory to real-world structures. They were also able to relate geographical elements to the locations of monuments, connecting landscapes with historical narratives. This project aimed at integrating subjects like English, History, Mathematics, Science,and Geography, providing students with a holistic educational approach that transcends traditional classroom boundaries. This multifaceted approach not only solidified the academic learning but also nurtured creativity, communication skills, and collaborative spirit among the students.
