A competition in which students are scored by a panel of adjudicators.
Students earn a fair, good, excellent, and superior rating.
Those who earn an overall superior rating at a qualifying event (regional, chapter, or alternate) are invited to finals at ITF
Those who earn an overall superior rating at ITF are celebrated and the top most scores per category are awarded the Thespy award.

PERFORMANCE:
Solo, Duet, or Group
Acting, Musical Theatre (Acting/Singing), Musical Theatre (Dance)
TECHNICAL AND WRITING:
Costume Construction, Costume Design, Lighting Design, Make-Up Design, Play Writing, Scenic Design, Short Film (Animated, Documentary, and Live-Action), Sound Design, Stage Management, Theatre Marketing.

Time Limits:
Solo Acting: 3 Minutes
Duet and Group Acting: 5 Minutes
Musical Theatre: 5 Minutes
Short Film: 5 Minutes + 1 Minute for Credits
Playwriting: 5 Minutes
Technical Presentations: 8 Minutes
Dress Code and Performance Props:
All black or dark colors
Solo Performance Props: 1 Chair
Duet Performance Props: 2 Chairs
Group Performance Props: 1 Table and up to 6 Chairs
