AJMA Israel Trauma Mission
June 17-24, 2025
In loving memory of Ilene Serlin z"l
Her heart and vision shape each step of our journey
In loving memory of Ilene Serlin z"l
Her heart and vision shape each step of our journey
This mission is designed for mental health professionals who are sympathetic to the plight of Israeli victims of October 7, 2023. Its focus will be to understand and support Israeli victims of terror and conflict.
This immersive and deeply meaningful journey is offered through the stewardship of the American Jewish Medical Association (AJMA), and was lovingly envisioned and carefully crafted by Ilene Serlin z”l. Originally scheduled for November 2024, the mission was postponed in October 2024, after nearly all foreign airlines suspended flights to Israel. Just days later, our group was devastated to learn of Ilene’s sudden diagnosis with an inoperable, aggressive cancer. She passed away on November 26, 2024.
Her death was a profound loss to all who knew and loved her, and we dedicated ourselves to realizing her vision as soon as possible. In Ilene’s memory, and with deep gratitude for her legacy, our mission will take place June 17–24, 2025. The itinerary remains faithful to Ilene’s original version.
