Components of an HVAC System
Heating Unit: It could be a boiler, a furnace, or a heat pump that provides warmth to the system.
Cooling Unit: Typically an air conditioner compressor or a heat pump that cools the air by extracting heat.
Fans: They are used to circulate air throughout the system. They can be inside heating and cooling units as well as in separate ducts.
Thermostat: Controls the ambient temperature by turning the system on or off according to user preferences.
Ducts: These are conduits that distribute hot or cold air throughout the building.
Filters: They are used to clean the air of particles and improve indoor air quality.
Heat Exchanger: Transfers heat between indoor and outdoor air to maintain a desired temperature.
Controls and Sensors: They monitor and regulate the system's operation to optimize efficiency and comfort.
These are some of the main components, but systems may vary depending on the type of property and specific heating and cooling needs.
