Thank you for choosing Interview Sync (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Your trust is important, and we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you use the Interview Sync iOS app and related web services (collectively, the “Service”).
This policy applies to all personal information processed in connection with your use of the Interview Sync iOS application, its web dashboard, and our support channels (email and Discord). It meets Apple App Store privacy requirements and relevant U.S. and international data-protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Improve & develop – analyze aggregated usage to refine functionality, train AI models, and fix bugs.
Communicate – send transactional emails (e.g., receipts, critical updates) and respond to support requests.
Legal & security – detect fraud or misuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with applicable laws.
We rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and your consent (e.g., microphone/camera access).

We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
Granular permissions – iOS prompts for microphone and camera access the first time those features are used; you can revoke access anytime in Settings > Privacy.
Subscription management – cancel or modify:

iOS: via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
Email preferences – unsubscribe links are included in non-transactional emails.
Access, deletion, or correction – email privacy@interviewsync.app to exercise GDPR/CCPA rights. We may verify identity before fulfilling requests.

We use industry-standard safeguards:
End-to-end encryption (TLS 1.2+) for data in transit.
AES-256 encryption at rest in our cloud databases.
Strict access controls and audit logging for staff.
Annual penetration testing and secure development training.
No app can guarantee absolute security; you can help by choosing strong, unique passwords.
Interview Sync is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we learn we have inadvertently received such information, we will delete it promptly.
We are U.S.-based; your data may be processed in the United States or other countries with adequate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses for EU users).
We will post any changes here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced via in-app notice or email 7 days before they take effect.
