ISOZAKI LAB
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Ritsumeikan University

About Us
Welcome to the Isozaki Group website. Our laboratory was established in April, 2023, and specializes in developing innovative microdevices using micro electromechanical systems (MEMS) technique to explore biological phenomena. MEMS has a history of over 40 years and its research areas continue to expand. Among them, we are particularly interested in developing MEMS devices for biological applications. We believe that biologists face many bottlenecks that we can overcome using our mechanical engineering expertise in microdevice fabrication, control, and creation. Additionally, we are open to incorporating cutting-edge technologies from various fields to create novel biomicrodevices. Through these approaches, we aim to create new tools that can uncover previously unknown biological phenomena. See the Research page for details of specific projects.
