"Peace is not merely the absence of war; It is the presence of justice"
– Eleanor Roosevelt
International School of Bydgoszcz Model United Nations (ISoB MUN) is an international student-led conference hosted by the students of the International School of Bydgoszcz. Our goal is to create a space for young people, where they can experience diplomacy, deepen global awareness and engage in debates about current, ongoing global issues.
Students step into the role of real UN delegates representing countries, negotiating resolutions and collaborating with each other to address and solve global challenges. Through joining, you can develop key skills necessary for university and adulthood. These skills include critical thinking, leadership, international cooperation and most importantly public speaking.
Our school is a place with many diverse cultures. Our Model United Nations reflects that. Students from both local and international schools are welcome to join in order to learn, reflect, connect and create a respectful and inspiring environment, no matter the experience or knowledge.
Public speaking – You learn to talk clearly and confidently in front of others while presenting your country’s position.
Research skills – Preparing for debates makes you gather facts, read reports, and understand global issues.
Critical thinking – You learn to analyze problems, compare solutions, and decide which approach makes the most sense.
Collaboration – You work with other delegates to form alliances, negotiate, and write resolutions as a team.
Leadership – You learn to take initiative, guide discussions, and help your committee move toward solutions.
Be ready to represent a country’s position. You can choose your preference or accept an assigned nation and prepare to speak from its perspective.
Understand your committee’s main topics. You dont need deep expertise needed, but you should know the basic issues being debated.
Have a reliable email address. All conference updates, guidelines, and delegate materials will be sent there.
