Federal Institute of Science And Technology (FISAT)® is an Autonomous Engineering College, established and run by the Federal Bank Officers' Association Educational Society (FBOAES), an initiative of the Federal Bank Officers Association (FBOA), the sole representative body of the officers of the Federal Bank. FISAT has a unique position in the Professional Education Sector in South India and has designed itself to work with the motto "Focus on Excellence" to carve a niche for itself in the education world, eloquently demonstrated by the flying colors attained by its students. FISAT is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University. The college offers Seven B.Tech programs and five M.Tech programs along with PhD Programmes in the faculty of engineering, besides the post graduate MCA and MBA programmes.

In recognition of the Institute’s academic excellence and overall growth, FISAT has been accredited with ‘A+’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Mechanical Engineering Department at FISAT offers a B.Tech programme in Mechanical Engineering (NBA Accredited) and an M.Tech programme in Renewable Energy. The department is also recognised as a research centre for Ph.D programme by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala. 

Its strong and interactive curriculum and hands-on learning will make the students capable of taking their career to the next level, whether it be in the professional engineering practice or in advanced studies. The Discipline of Mechanical Engineering effectively connects the teaching of engineering education to active research in different areas. The department has the most modern infrastructure to undertake high-end teaching, research and developmental activities in its laboratories. 

We aim to provide our students with a perfect blend of intellectual and practical experiences that helps them to serve our society and address a variety of needs. With a solid grounding in the principles and practice of mechanical engineering, our undergraduates are ready to engage in ethical approaches to engineering, with concern for society and the environment. Our program at the postgraduate level aligns academic coursework with research to prepare students in specialized areas within the field of mechanical engineering.
