Video Transmission Through Hybrid Networks

I am a PhD research student that investigates the error resilience of HEVC standard. my research interests include 2D image and video coding, robust video delivery over unreliable constrained networks e.g VANETs and 4G/5G.

I received M.Sc. degree in Electronics from the University of Badji Mokhtar Annaba (UBMA), Algeria, in 2017. Indeed, I started my research in multimedia and Digital Communications with the Laboratory of automatics and signals -Annaba- (LASA) from the UBMA. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD degree in the topic of Enhancing the Video Transmission over error prone networks based on High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard.

PhD supervisors

My current research is under the supervision of Professor Noureddine DOGHMANE and Dr. Nasreddine KOUADRIA at the University of Badji Mokhtar Annaba (UBMA).

PhD research description

By exploiting the joint Souce-Channel coding techniques my research work takes the HEVC standard to its core and builds new techniques on top of it to enhance its error resilience performance, and implement processing techniques to improve decoder side error concealment performance.

The first scope of this research improves error resilience tools to increase the error robustness of HEVC bitstreams based on reducing the error propagation.
