About Our Home

We’re so glad that you found us and are able to share our favorite place on earth.  Before building Island In The Sky as you see it today our family spent many weekends escaping city life at the yellow house down at the bottom of the hill.  As a child I took many a forced hike up what is now our very steep driveway and as adults we came up to to dream of what might someday be.  

During one of those more voluntary hikes, my husband and I got engaged on what is now the spot where we broke ground to create Island In the Sky almost 15 years later.

We hope this place is magical for you as it is for us.
